Valenciá’s current experience as an EdD student, managing her dissertation studies with the traumatic events unfolding in her life inspired her to reform her Valenciá’s Garden blog from being a reflective educational community space, into GrowCery Garden— research-based resources to support creatives in growing beyond creative barriers.

Program Supervisor
Brian Suryah is an American interdisciplinary student, artist and practitioner born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where they continue to work today. Brian’s practice centers their lived experience. A journey of mind, body, soul expressed with the many different mediums, mindsets, rituals, ceremonies and passions they experience consistently. Not limiting their art practice or perspective of self as an artist/creator to just the physical task of making work. Brian believes their intuition to be the most valuable component within the studio’s production process.
